It’s Global Entrepreneurship Week! ⭐️
We spent the day with UCL-supported startup eNOugh to find out what being an entrepreneur at UCL is like.
The startup, founded by UCL alumni Ina Jovicic (MSc Entrepreneurship) and Gaelic Jara Reinhold (BEng Engineering), is tackling the issue of personal safety with their innovative AI-powered protection badge.
Simply clip the badge onto your coat and activate it through the app, the AI model will then detect if there is a threat and contact the police to send you help.

The startup, built with $200K angel investment, was named South African Tech Startup of the Year 2025 and is working with 35 large clients across South Africa, including Planet Fitness, Vodacom and Hollard. With a team of 12, the company is now focused on scaling globally across the EU, UK, and US.
Dani and her team are currently being supported through the Hatchery incubator programme at BaseKX, UCL’s dedicated entrepreneurship hub, run by UCL Innovation & Enterprise. Here they are gaining access to mentoring, specialist advice and free office space to help their company grow.

A thank you to @maahika.s for showing me around @ucl ’s impressive entrepreneurship and innovation hub in King’s Cross, BaseKX. Around twenty start-ups with connections to UCL join it each year for two-year incubations. Sleek, distinctive and practical design, including those hanging plug sockets!
Maahika hosts The Reclaiming Bossy Podcast and runs @empowersoundsmedia , helping business leaders with their personal branding.
Another example of universities powering the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

UCL-supported startup Stasher was founded by UCL alumni Jacob Wedderburn-Day (MSc Economics 2016) and Anthony Collias, inspired by a moment when a friend asked Anthony to leave their bag in his flat near King’s Cross and his joking reply, “Sure, but I’m charging you for it”, sparked the idea for the world’s first luggage storage network.
Jacob and Anthony were members of the UCL Hatchery incubator programme, run by UCL Innovation & Enterprise. Here they received access to tailored advice, mentorship and free office space in BaseKX, UCL’s entrepreneurship hub.
In this interview with Jacob by Global Banking & Finance Review, find out how Stasher navigated setbacks, scaled globally, and built a startup by acting first and figuring it out along the way - link in bio!

Have you visited the UCL200 Exhibition: Two Centuries Here yet? 💜
The exhibition explores UCL’s past, present and future, bringing to life our founding story as London’s first ever university and exploring UCL’s rich history, influence and role in society, and collectively imagine what the future could look like.
We’re excited that UCL-supported startup Nodanni, founded by UCL alumna Victoria Ndoh (MSc Ethnographic Documentary Filmmaking), is featured in the exhibition for making a real difference in communities in need through Vactraca.
Vactraca is a smart necklace that helps track children’s vaccinations and save lives in countries where many children still die from preventable diseases. Nodanni is now working with the government in South Sudan to pilot 2,000 Vactraca necklaces in refugee and displaced person camps.
They’ve also pitched to organisations such as the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), GAVI, the vaccine alliance, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) looking to work with them to roll out Vactraca more widely.
Victoria was supported as part of UCL’s Hatchery incubator programme at BaseKX, UCL’s dedicated entrepreneurship hub. Here she had access to free tailored support and office space to grow her venture.
