What does it mean to grieve someone who is still here?
Developed by our very own Assistant Professor @mikelangstories in partnership with TELUS Fund, Ink & Wisdom is a short film that follows teenage caregiver Felisha as she supports her father living with ALS, carrying the quiet weight of anticipatory grief.
Guided through printmaking with a clinical art therapist, she uses colour, layering, and ocean imagery to explore feelings that are often hard to name. As her artwork takes shape, so does a way of communicating love, loss, and uncertainty.
We’re so proud to have this kind of work happening in the Faculty of Nursing, highlighting storytelling as a powerful way to understand care, and showing how caregiving is such an important part of the health care experience.
