🔥 New Font Release! ✨ Gregory Text, your buddy for text and beyond. Down-to-earth and heartfelt, this contemporary bookish typeface is all about charming little quirks: distinct in detail, but pragmatic in total.
With moderate stroke contrast and unusual shapes, Gregory Text reinterprets the historical aesthetic of early Slab Serif metal types to fit today’s demands. The result is a typography that prefers home touches and obvious ink-traps to rational geometry.

Waiting until you’re a "gray-bearded professor" to start teaching?
We often think we need to know everything before we step in front of an audience. But in our latest episode, Sergey Rasskazov challenges that mindset. He believes you shouldn't wait until you are old and experienced to share knowledge because teaching is actually a crucial part of your own learning process.
Why you should start teaching now (even if you feel like an imposter):
- It structures your chaos. When you prepare to teach, you have to process a huge amount of material and figure out how to structure it so others can understand.
- You re-learn the basics. You study the information all over again, articulate it, and see it from a fresh perspective.
- Students teach you. By seeing the reactions and solutions of your students, you learn just as much from them as they do from you.
The advice? Don't be afraid to give lectures or hold workshops just because you aren't "super perfect" yet. It’s the fastest way to grow.

A workshop on Cyrillic type design took Gregory’s serifs to the next level. Jakob also experienced some pitfalls when exploring non-Latin alphabets in a serif context for the first time. To get it right, it meant teaming up with native designers 😘:
