Day 2 was even better. It ended a little bruised, a little bloody, and a little battered, but when you push yourself sometimes that happens (
@type_2_fun_crew ). We had some great single track, went through John Bull(shit), ran through some burn area. It was all beautiful! I struggled on John Bull, but was pumped to have gotten to do it and had the best people to guide me. The girls all crushed it. Proud and impressed is an understatement. Got some side eye from Daniel when I took a fall, scraped my elbow, and admitted to not having elbow pads on 😬
@aubrybamp took care of my finger when I smashed it on a rock. He was pretty excited to use some med supplies he’d been carrying around. I was happy to accept 😂 That’s where my day ended on the trails- a silly tip over in a spot that shouldn’t have been an issue. But hey, it happens. Was able to ride the bike back with
@laceybet watching my back. That evening our crew sang me happy birthday and I felt so unbelievably blessed to have them in my life. Then we took an off road walk to the Moose Lodge for the Babes dinner and awards. Truly the most exciting trail of the weekend!
@babesinthedirt Dual Sport Summer has been a place where I can be with women that have put aside their egos and come together to support one another as we try new things and push ourselves a little harder than we might normally do.
@wlfenduro has our backs because sometimes it’s a lot. What a gift to have a group of guys with loads of patience and good humor to help us when needed. There are some incredible people in the moto community and I’m proud to be part of it. More than anything, I’m grateful for the friends that have been brought into my life.
