Summoning off-kilter downtempo and broken beat, threaded with glittering ambient vignettes, Maybe Laura delivers the next edition of our mixtape series. An addition that continues to gaze at electronic sounds with one foot out of the club. Preview clips and purchase available on our Bandcamp.

TET006S - factory preset ‘swingchronize me’
The next edition to our stamped series features pieces created by Australian artist ‘factory preset’, selected from their seminal album ‘swingchronize me’. An ode to the Sydney DIY acid wave of the 90s and paying homage to the swingchronizer, a nifty little box that bypassed the temporal rigidity of other units allowing the freedom to create consistent swing effects across hardware. On swingchronize me, factory preset revels in this utility, producing deep groove driven slabs that float cloudlike and drive with acidic pulse.
factory preset’s contribution to Sydney’s underground scene as part of ‘dark network’ and ‘metric systems’ shine through almost 30 years later in dazzling clarity, innovating whilst staying true to the roots of their sound.

TET005 - Le Lab Registered ‘Broadcast EP’
We welcome Swiss duo Le Lab Registered onto the label with a reimagining of their 2006 CD-only album ‘103.5’. Le Lab’s work can be traced back to the early nineties where lack of blueprint blossomed their playful and bizarre experimentations in techno, full of heart, bursting with imagination. ‘103.5’ can be listened to as a sonic playground of sorts, where stuttering drums, wiggling pads and layer upon layer of sampled material interweave and interact.
‘Broadcast EP’ features freshly extended cuts/remixes of ‘The Pitch’ and ‘Broadcast’, the brand new vignette ‘Radio Tirana’, and the untouched original ‘CB Music’.
Le Lab Registered is a project that has remained discrete for decades but their sound remains exalted in its uniqueness and ingenuity.

Le Lab Registered - ‘Broadcast’ EP launch party at Spanners.
We have invited Swiss duo Le Lab Registered to return to Spanners celebrating the forthcoming release of their ‘Broadcast’ EP on the label.
LLR will be performing a live set keying into their idiosyncratic and energetic style of dance music with support from Royale Cattin’s homage “Divine Resurrection”. We will be providing a DJ set to follow this.
We have been working with Le Lab Registered for a while now after being enchanted by their catalogue spanning the late 80s - present. We are very excited to share with you their sound, both at Spanners and on the ‘Broadcast’ EP.
Doors 11:00pm at £10… expect sonic goodies to be handed out on arrival
‘Bauri - Flow State’ is out today. An artist whose work spans back to the late nineties tapping into a twinkling spectrum of electronic sounds under various monikers. ‘Flow State’ marks Bauri’s return to a sound that feels as timeless, as poignant as when it was first conceived. With a crystalline vision of deep house and ambient techno’s most emotive and pelagic corners, Bauri lays down a swirling continuum of sounds that pulse with rhythm and sing with a weightlessness primed for the intimacy of the small hours. Even more enigmatic perhaps is that these tracks were recorded live in singular sessions, a process underscoring that Bauri’s innate ability to perceive and create is autosuggestive.
Limited to 100 copies, stocked in all the usual places.
Label day down at @nextdoorrecords_ 2 in Stoke Newington next Saturday. The day will be soundtracked by the above names which features old and new pals. We’ll also have our full catalogue available as well as various Turnend items we’ve done in the past.

Our first offering beyond the realms of the club emerges Peculiar Glow Vol.1. An EP of radiant atmospherics from multiple artists prescribing sonic esoterism.
Peculiar Glow’s first volume stands as a touchstone for endeavours to follow; developing Turnend Tapes as a platform of musical expression and exploration without borders or presumption.
A tremendous thank you to all artists involved in producing something we’re very proud to present.

‘A natural aligning brings this series to fruition, Where mind’s arch refracts onto coloured sand leaving pale shadows to dwindle, Beatless but rhythmic I succumb to a distant lambence we’ll forever move toward’.
Joseph Clarke’s two hour mixtape now available via our Bandcamp
Inaugurating a project that sees DJs step outside of mainline club jaunts we present Joseph Clarke with a double pack of swirling, dream-state electronics.
Through the reels of tape that extends over two hours, Clarke weaves a vibrant tapestry debasing the dichotomy of melancholia and bliss, traversing the outer realms and intersections of downtempo, ambient, dub and spoken word.
With nods to chill out rooms of the 90s, Clarke’s propensity for curveball disorientation and energy transfer glows iridescent.
Available for pre order via our Bandcamp, releases 10th March.

‘zedmeco - view from olympus: selected tracks’
On our second vinyl release, we present something very special in the form of a 4 track EP selected from the works of a true veteran, zedmeco. Better known as Zeno Messis, one part of the prolific Megalon project that painted the UK underground
techno scene of the 90s. With a string of releases on Plink Plonk featuring the now cultish 94’ LP ‘Pandora’s Box’, Megalon’s mosaic of dance music was as much Ambient Dub as it was Detroit techno or Deep House remaining timeless and mythical.
Fast-forward 2 decades and then some. zedmeco quietly continues to transmit music of authenticity and nostalgia, inflected with the same elasticity to style and sound, integrating 20+ years of spirit and experience. ‘view from olympus: selected tracks’ is a culmination of just a fraction of Zed’s new output that we are ecstatic to have start our stamped series on the label.
Now up for pre-order via @oneyewitness where the full snippets can be found. They’ll also be two early promo copies being sold via @houseofdogrecords so keep an eye out for those.
