From Rwanda to the red carpet at Cannes 🎬✨
Ben’Imana, directed by Marie-Clementine Dusabejambo, is the first winner of the TUI Care Foundation Award of the World Cinrma Fund. Set in Rwanda, Ben’Imana tells a deeply human story of reconciliation, identity and generational conflict in the aftermath of the genocide against the Tutsi. Through the journey of a survivor supporting others in rebuilding their lives, the film reflects the complexities of healing and moving forward.
By prioritising local talent, primarily from Rwanda and across the region, the project strengthens skills, builds experience and supports the growth of the African film industry. 💡🎬

Have you heard about the new @netflix documentary "A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough"? 🐒🌿
This inspiring documentary brings mountain gorillas back into the global spotlight, almost 50 years after "Life on Earth" first introduced them to the world.
Filmed in Rwanda, the documentary highlights one of conservation’s most remarkable success stories. When @davidattenborough first encountered mountain gorillas in 1978, there were only around 250 individuals left. Today, thanks to decades of conservation efforts and collaboration, that number has grown to around 600 in Rwanda alone.
We're proud to contribute to the ongoing mountain gorilla conservation process in Volcanoes National Park through our TUI Wildlife Rwanda project, in partnership with @africanwildlifefoundation . 🐒
By combining advanced monitoring techniques such as eDNA with community engagement and youth empowerment, the project supports wildlife protection while creating sustainable opportunities for local communities.
The conservation success highlighted in "A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough" is a powerful reminder of what partnerships, innovation and long-term commitment can achieve, and why sharing these stories matter in inspiring the next chapter of protection. 💚
A new chapter of stories begins in Amsterdam 🎓
Recently, 10 newly trained storytellers celebrated the completion of their certification as part of the TUI Colourful Cultures Amsterdam project. After weeks of learning, writing and practicing, they are now ready to welcome visitors with something truly unique: personal stories that bring the city to life. 🏙️
Amsterdam is known for its canals, architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Yet behind these iconic sights lies a rich tapestry of cultures, perspectives and lived experiences that are not always part of the typical visitor journey. Through TUI Colourful Cultures Amsterdam, tourism becomes a platform for connection, where storytelling, performance and dialogue invite visitors to see the city through a more human lens.
At the heart of the project are storytellers from diverse cultural backgrounds, each sharing their own perspective on life, identity and belonging in Amsterdam. Their stories transform a traditional canal tour into an intimate cultural experience, creating space for conversation, reflection and understanding. 🤝
Over a six-week training programme, participants developed their narrative skills, built confidence and learnt how to engage audiences in meaningful ways. Now certified, they are stepping into the next phase - welcoming guests on board and sharing the stories that shape the city today.
We look forward to seeing these storytellers inspire visitors and locals alike, one story at a time. 🧡
