Orla’s teaching practice is an exploration of the imagination, using texture and self-caricature as pathways to connect to movement.
Supported by an array of music genres and guided improvisation, we will move through a range of dynamics from gooey totality to squeaky articulation. Moving through set material, we’ll dissolve in and out of the floor, getting down, sweaty, and fully immersed.
Together we create a space where we can dive into the mind, liberate the body, and play.

This contemporary partnering workshop explores trust, communication, and physical connection through movement. Beginning with a guided warm-up focused on mobility, strength, and stability, participants will prepare their bodies with floorwork, weight transfer, spinal articulation, and gentle inversions.
We then move into partner-based exercises that build trust and awareness through weight-sharing and safe, supportive grips. As confidence develops, participants will explore the mechanics of lifting and being lifted, breaking down technique to ensure accessibility, safety, and clarity for all bodies.
The session culminates in learning a collaborative movement phrase, integrating the skills developed throughout the workshop while encouraging communication and adaptability between partners.
This class creates a supportive environment where participants can expand their movement vocabulary, deepen connection, and discover new possibilities within partnering work.

In this class Pam will combine all the benefits of yin yoga; time to de-regulate, a focus on target feels rather than aesthetics and longer holds of 2 to 7 minutes but she will also incorporate the use of massage balls to get into targeted areas of tension and tightness for a deeper release.

Through diving into sensation and groove, we will explore story telling as we find humour, character and individuality through improvisational research.
Class with explore a range of textures and images as we move through guided improvisation, engaging the core challenging the body.
Through crossings and set phrases we will explore the totality of movement, from the smallest gesture to the largest groove, as we move through character and humour driven phrases.
