And just like that, it’s May! ☀️ It’s unbelievable to think that just one week ago, I was touching up my flowers before the Preview Party, awaiting the Showhouse’s unveiling that evening… Wow, what an incredible opening week it has been at the @lfshowhouse ! From the Preview Party, to an extraordinary Opening Day on Saturday, to Monday’s Honorary Chair luncheon with the iconic @marymcdonaldinc and industry-great @dara_caponigro - two absolute legends - what a whirlwind it’s been! Thanks for catching me in action @thereelnorthshore ! I was not at all camera ready, but am so happy we ran into each other and that you captured this special moment in time. You have such an incredible eye for videography - it was wonderful to work together! Thank you, also, to my wonderful Showhouse partners… without you, this would not have been possible! The cabinetry was designed by me and executed flawlessly (and extremely quickly) by @trimtechdesigns The painting and wallpapering was done by my wonderful crew at @divincipainters The striking oversized marble sink and the petite desk, as well as the marble tops for the washer/dryer chests were fabricated and installed by @marbleemporium_inc The stunning wallcovering mural is by @thibaut_1886 @aliceskudlarek_thibautchicago The fabric and trim are both by @brunschwigfils The antiqued marble checkerboard flooring is by @thefinelinechi The paint is @benjaminmoore The ceiling wallpaper is “Trellis” in sand by @serenaandlily (and currently 20% off) All of the light fixtures are by @visualcomfort

Five years after moving in… our laundry room before and after at #schmiedskihouse This was a very challenging space design-wise to tackle because it’s a square and has two large laundry units that we didn’t plan on moving or changing. It left us with essentially a dead corner that the designer at @trimtechdesigns worked around wonderfully, maximizing storage. It was my request that the machines be elevated - I prefer that to limit the bending and reaching and back strain. We also added a wonderful oversized workhouse sink from @kohler that comes with different inserts like this butcher block which allows us to have the function of a full countertop for folding and organizing, when really, our counter space is quite small. I also love love the nook with the rolling laundry cart (@rejuvenation ) which means even when we don’t have time to fold, that load of clean laundry can get put into here and wait patiently for us to tackle it. The tile is a natural stone by @annsacks x @studiomcgee collab - the Novah in grey. And lastly, the contracting team at @j.jordanhomes did an amazing job handling this tight space reno and it such a short time!
