NYFW recap has to happen in two parts cause too much happened. in part one, and the most important and fulfilling part of my trip, the @winthropfashionclub !! when i started i promised i’d teach them everything i knew and try to provide as many opportunities as possible. not to say i know everyone but i knew how to get there. i brought up going to new york and this group was so locked in and did what they needed to to make it. they are so incredibly awesome, brave and i’m glad i could do this with them. they took headshots, went to a casting, and walked in their first nyfw show. to @theerebelagency @theerebelagencyny , thank you so much for allowing our group to help with your show as well as walk. it meant the world to all of us to help a bunch of young creatives get a taste of what it’s like to make a dream reality. as well as @litthephotographer for adding to new york model dream. to my lovely friend @zambrano.g.j , thank you so much for capturing our group and helping us preserve memories and give us something to remember with our time in new york. your patience, guidance and expertise really gave us all insight and helped us finalize the vision. to the @winthropfashionclub , thank you so much for once again putting trust in me to lead you into new york. we got lost several times, our bodies got sore, and retreated to the deals and discount store and 7/11 for our every need. but we laughed, danced, ate, and did all of the above together and i’m so glad we did. it was magical watching the fire get lit behind your eyes as you slowly realized that everything IS possible. and ofc to everyone who supported me from afar, silently or loudly, i love you too.

as a kid i moved a LOT so until high school i haven’t had any roots except in one place. savannah, georgia. every summer of my life until after covid ended i spent three months of the year with my grandma in savannah. it was the one constant thing in my life. every summer i swam, ate sam’s club pizza and played video games with my siblings until we started fighting, lol. but recently i got to take my honeybunn to savannah for weekend to slow down. it’s quiet, the gorgeous trees with spanish moss are on every street everywhere, and charming with art. i’ve always felt calm, grounded and accepted here. and every time when life gets too hard and i really need to cross state lines to get away, my first choice will always be savannah, georgia.
