Today marks 2 years of Call Me Kreative! To celebrate, I created a spec campaign inspired by @topicals , a brand I’ve admired for how they’ve redefined skincare storytelling. During Women’s History Month, it only feels right to spotlight founders like @olamideaolowe who continue to expand what leadership in beauty looks like. Watching women build boldly has pushed me to do the same creatively! As always, my goal was to create visuals that feel alive. This project was my take on what an editorial-meets-street campaign could look like.

i look at myself unfiltered and see my ancestors. my friends. my family. i see a nose i used to hate, hair i didn’t know how to take care of, and a skin i wasn’t always comfortable in due to the world’s projections of what beauty is, of what Black is “supposed” to look like. now, all i see IS beauty, Blackness, and love - hundreds of years of it accumulated. i couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate 100 years of Black History Month with the extremely talented @asirramart ♡
