I’m really pleased to be working with the trailblazing creative organisation Trigger on their Humanity Club project which supports the wellbeing of asylum seekers in temporary accommodation in North Somerset. @trigger_stuff
I’ve long admired Trigger’s work, and the Humanity Club project immediately stood out as something I genuinely wanted to support. At a time when we’re seeing an increase in far-right rhetoric and division, it feels more important than ever to be involved in projects that actively promote diversity, compassion, and shared humanity.
Many displaced people face prolonged uncertainty, isolation, and barriers to participation in everyday life. Creative projects can help restore a sense of structure, belonging, and self-expression in environments that often feel disempowering.
I hope to contribute meaningfully to a project that creates moments of expression, connection, creativity, and humanity - and to carry those learnings forward into future work.

Join us on 30th April for a morning of networking and creative sessions at Trigger’s new space, Skylark in Mendip Valley. Help shape the future of creativity and culture in North Somerset by contributing to two member-led sessions:
1/ Citizen’s Assembly roadshow workshop
Led by David Jubb & LaToyah McAllister-Jones with North Somerset based citizens from the Assembly.
David & LaToyah will be presenting the Citizen’s Cultural Plan, explaining the Citizen’s Assembly model and approach before facilitating a discussion on our feedback and thoughts on the main priorities of the plan. View the plan via link in our bio.
The Citizen’s Cultural Plan aims to build a plan from within the communities it is set out to serve, opening direct dialogue between citizens and sector. It will feed directly into local authority and combined authority future cultural policy. This is your chance to have your voice heard and to shape the future of culture and creativity in our region.
2/ Skylark Creative Consultation led by Trigger.
Trigger want to hear from creatives about how to shape the use of a new creative asset, ‘Skylark’ a former chapel. Boasting 2x large halls, set in a beautiful nook of the Mendip Valley, Skylark is set to be a space to spark ideas and foster creative cultural work. We’d like to know how you would like to use it.
Skylark Blagdon Baptist Chapel, Mead Lane, Blagdon, BS40 7UA on Thursday 30th April from 10.00am – 12:30pm.
Book your space using the link in our bio
We look forward to welcoming you!

Happy World Puppetry Day! A super quick paper & tape maquette puppet sculpt based on Eliza the hare for some puppetmaking workshops in collaboration with @trigger_stuff
Created to demonstrate how getting the basics of puppetmaking form and function can start so simple and gradually build in complexity over time!
Nice to have a go at making something fast and playful! 🐇 Looking forward to delivering the four day program of sessions next week!
Delighted to share that I’ve been endorsed by Arts Council England for the Global Talent Visa, giving me the opportunity to continue living and doing the work I love in the UK.
Sending off my application made me reflect on the journey so far, and what a colourful and rewarding career it’s been. It’s a real privilege to have turned my passion into a living, and to have connected with so many wonderful people along the way.
As artists, we often spend so much time chasing the next big thing - the next project, the next opportunity, but I’ve been grateful for this moment to pause, look back, and appreciate the path that’s brought me here.
I always aspire to be the person that my 5 year old self looks up to, and I’m happy to say she’d be so proud. The biggest thank you to everyone that has supported me through this application and my journey! Excited to see the next chapter unfold, to lots more dancing, creating and growing 🥰

It’s out! The original Hundred Acre Wood aka @ashdownforest is turning 100! I’ve been developing a brand new concept with @millward_rachel and it’s out. We’re making a brand new mythical creature who lives at Ashdown forest. It eats bracken and gorse, helping to protect its habitat - one of the precious few Heathlands left on the planet. Keep up with behind the scenes making and news on @trigger_stuff

On the birthday of Alan Alexander Milne, born on 18th January 1882, we wish you a very happy Winnie-the-Pooh day! 🍯
There's another important birthday this year... As Winnie-the-Pooh turns one hundred in 2026, Ashdown Forest, the original Hundred Acre Wood, celebrates with a brand-new story!
Coming this summer, The Big One Hundred, created and produced by Trigger, brings together performances, events and workshops to help protect Ashdown Forest for the next hundred years. We’ll be introducing a new character to the Forest, a curious creature inspired by the landscape and special species who live there. Our new creature will also be popping up at sites across Wealden to delight and inspire children to see the magic in nature and the joy of reading.
