National Tree Week Event at the Trees Please allotment. Sunday 8th March, 2pm-4pm We don't have space for all the trees we have so we'll be giving away trees from our allotment in Churchfield next Sunday for Tree Week. We have Oak, Scots Pine, Alder, Downy Birch and Hazel and smaller amounts of some other trees. Search 'Churchfield Allotments' on Google Maps to find us. Donations welcome but not necessary.

We had a treemendous National Tree Week workshop with @treespleasecork as part of our Wednesday evening sessions, uncovering tree facts and folklore and considering ways to increase Ireland's native tree cover from its current 3%. Our artists created printed bunting inspired by @rosannaprints to hang on trees to highlight their worth and encourage more action. Thanks to @hazel_hurley_ for being a trunk of tree knowledge and visualising everyone's input so beautifully. Look out for more tree-themed workshops with Hazel in the Spring. Our Wednesday workshops continue next week with a relaxed Artivist Studio/Zine Club. Come by to make art and plans or just to hang out. And if you'd like to suggest an idea for a session, we're listening!

Hands up who loves trees! This Wednesday we'll be working with @hazel_hurley_ wearing her @treespleasecork hat, to show some grรก for our lovely local trees. We will be doing little lino cuttings and printing onto fabric to make awareness-raising flags and bunting for @treecouncil 's National Tree Week. All tree huggers and climbers welcome ๐ŸŒณ

We're back with bare-root trees for you on Sunday 16th February from 11am! Here is our list of trees and we are asking people to limit their orders to 40 trees per person with a suggested donation of โ‚ฌ1 per tree. Bring cash on the day please. Now is the time to do research on which native trees you would like. Link in bio to a useful guide 'Our Trees'. We will be very busy on the day filling your orders (as best we can, subject to availability) so that won't be the time for a tree consultation. Please come with a list of what trees you want. More info to follow!

Hello friends! We will be distributing bare-root native trees again on Sunday 16th February at Rebel Reads, Marina Commercial Park, Cork in return for donations (suggested donations โ‚ฌ1 per tree). Last year we had a great response but distributing the trees is the easy part... The more tricky part is ensuring that the trees find a good forever home - so we would ask you to do some research on what trees would suit your garden or community space. You could also plant a little hedge. We recommend the brilliant book Our Trees: A Guide to Growing Ireland's Native Trees (link in bio). More info to follow!

Get our 2025 calendar before it's gone! Only โ‚ฌ10. You wouldn't get a penny sweet for that nowadays. All money raised will be put back into buying trees for distribution in the Spring. This year we are using recycled paper too. Available from our friends at @myocork and @mygoodnessfood ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒณโ™ป๏ธ๐ŸŒฒ
