Music is uniting; it’s universally fun! Here’s my personal appeal for this year’s M&E bank Clothesline Art Festival, hoping you’ll come check it out @magrochester ! This year’s festival will be a special one. Things are a bit different this time around; there’s more of EVERYTHING, (we are packing it to gills!) and some of that everything is music. I’m super happy to have built the lineup we did! Many thanks to the performers who will make the day!

It’s my sweetie’s birthday! We are all so lucky to have this woman in our lives. Her radiance is inspiring, her support uplifting! I don’t know where I’d be without her 😌. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the last year: Chimney Bluffs, checking out the aurora, Halloween, the Roa’s wedding, camping, dog-momming, and her seizing the moment to pot a plant right before bedtime. There’s no one I’d rather build a home, share so many adventures, and make life with @ms.flossandflow 🎂👸🏼🤍

Putting my face and human form on the TL to give one last promo pitch for Saturday Night (Live) @barbadending - doing the one man band thing, after a decade plus of not. Very happy to bring @thoughtpartner (w/ @capntburgs ) to Roc. It’s silly to say, but I’ve also never seen Crush the Junta perform live with my own eyes and ears, but @carbonjoetunis @chrisreeg and @dennispatrickaguilarmariano are a Rochester treasure. I’ve spent a good amount of time preparing for this, and am excited to bring a more fully fleshed out version of my tunes to a live audience. Come find out whether or not me posting a picture with a guitar in my hands contains any irony.

Feels weird to promote something while a major cultural center of the US burns, but the show must go on, and we still deserve beauty and joy despite all the heartbreak. On that note, it is my esteemed pleasure to be presenting this show @the_psychic_garden on Jan 18. @dorotheapaas - I have to admit, I hadn’t heard Ms. Paas til I was approached about this bill, but her newest album is fabulous, and well worth many repeated listens. I could tell you how she’s a singer songwriter with lush production, but that wouldn’t really do her work justice. @garylamaar - a Rochester mainstay, and hardworking musician to boot. Every time I have seen Gary perform, it has been completely different, but always compelling. @m_a_t_t_b_e_n_t - Matt consistently inspires me, and to say that is an understatement. His work is so fresh and contemporary and it always excites me to hear how he takes things to their limits. Think about all the wild Warp records acts you can, but give it a heaping dash of accessibility, and you’ll be on the right track. Saturday 1/18, 7pm doors, 8 pm tunes, $10 (or PWYC) @the_psychic_garden - DM for address.

Two years happens in the blink of an eye. It feels like almost yesterday was the first day we met. Many days, I wake up and have to pinch myself, slightly in disbelief that this woman is my life partner. 1/6 is a date that, to us, is full of love and kindness above anything else.

This Saturday 11/16 @the_psychic_garden : @jasonandersonmusic returns to Rochester. It’s hard to describe the feeling one can get from his shows, but anyone who has been a part of one knows. It’s a real special time; it’s communal and healing. Joining are a personal local fave of mine, @homevideosband , delivering a throwback to their early days, in that it will be an all acoustic set. 7pm doors, 8pm tunes - it will be an early one, too, so you can catch this before you get under way with any other weekend plans. $10 NOTAFLOF, DM for address
