This week it’s finally time for @intonalfestival at IAC! On Thursday, composer and sound artist @touchmysound  will play Other People: Fronte Violeta by Carla Boregas & Anelena Toku (23 April at 20:00) and music by Annette Vande Gorne on Friday (24 April at 21:30). And that’s not all! On Sunday 26 April, 13:00–15:30, Alessandro will lead an open seminar on Acousmonium basics – a great opportunity to dive deeper into the practice of spatial music. Don’t miss it! ARTIST PRESENTATION @touchmysound is a composer and sound artist exploring how bodies, spaces, and sound interact through custom-built instruments and experimental electroacoustic devices. His background in composition and electronic music shapes a practice grounded in material processes, mechanics, and physical performance, often using electromechanical systems, custom-built machines, or 3D‑printed prosthetic devices. His work has been presented internationally and is documented on the KAIROS portrait album The Expanded Body. Alessandro also teaches composition and electronic music, co‑founded the Malmö-based collective Hertzbreakerz, and curates the academic programme of the Intonal Festival at IAC while working between Italy and Sweden. 🌬️ Flyback — studio recording Use 🎧 for apppreciating the extremely panned miking. ••• At the beginning of 2026 we completed a full studio recording of Flyback (2025), for two interconnected clarinets, performed by Robert Ek @robertek_74 and Natalie Eriksson @natalie90e ••• The bells of two clarinets are replaced by short PVC tubes joined through a 3D-printed connector, merging their air columns into a single acoustic system. OPEN CALL: Acousmonium Workshop & Open Mixer, presented by @interartscenter as part of the @intonalfestival Acousmonium Workshop: 7 April 2026, 17:00–20:00 Deadline for registration: 30 March 2026, 17:00 Open Mixer: 26 April 2026, 15:30–18:30 FULLY BOOKED, but you are welcome to attend as a listener. @intonalfestival and IAC invite sound artists, composers, performers, and anyone curious about acousmatic performance to take part in a focused Acousmonium Workshop and subsequent practice sessions, culminating in an Open Mixer event. The workshop (7 April, 17:00–20:00) focuses on the practice of sound diffusion on the acousmonium, with particular attention to real-time spatialization of stereo (2 channels) works. You may be already familiar with this practice that has been showcased over recent years in the Red Room at IAC within the framework of the INTONAL Festival. The workshop will introduce the principles, spatialization strategies, and practical approaches involved in performing electroacoustic and fixed media works on our loudspeaker orchestra (more than 40 speakers). The workshop is a preparatory moment for participants who are interested in further developing this practice independently in the days following the workshop (from 10– 22 April), with the aim of presenting a short diffusion performance during the Open Mixer sessions, taking place on 26 April, 15:30–18:30. Each participant registered for the Open Mixer will be allocated a time slot of ca. 20 minutes.
