INTONAL 2026 Artist Presentation: Acousmatic Concerts at IAC (part 2 of 2) At IAC, INTONAL 2026 unfolds its acousmatic program through a 40+ speaker system, extending a 15-year practice of spatial sound. This year, attention shifts toward experimental scenes from South and Central America through talks and concerts, including a conversation between Laura Balboa and Lílian Campesato exploring historical and contemporary, female-driven sound practices. Concerts co-curated with Laura Balboa present works by composers from across the Americas outside the Global North. The program also includes performances and listening situations that move between composition, improvisation, and spatial exploration, alongside a tribute to Annette Vande Gorne as she approaches her 80th birthday. All IAC content is FREE ADMISSION Jakob Riis Jakob Riis is a Danish/Swedish laptop musician and composer working within electroacoustic music. Improvisation is central to his practice, shaping open, spatial soundscapes in close relation to the audience. Kent Olofsson Kent Olofsson is a composer with a broad catalogue spanning orchestral, chamber, electroacoustic, and stage-based works, with a recent focus on experimental theatre and collaborations with Teatr Weimar and Nina Jeppsson. Laura Balboa Laura Balboa is a Binnizá (Zapotec) researcher, radio producer, and artist based in Malmö. Through Bulla, she explores listening, conversation, and experimental sound practices tied to non-binary and gender non-conforming Mexican artists. Lílian Campesato Lílian Campesato is a Brazilian artist, researcher, and curator working across sound, performance, and critical listening. Her work engages feminist methodologies and the politics of voice and noise. ARTIST PRESENTATION @elide_99 , cellist and performer with a strong classical background and studies across Europe, focuses on contemporary music and new sonic possibilities. Her interdisciplinary work blends technology, augmented instruments, and performative practices in unconventional settings. Awarded the Fritz Gerber Award (2023) and Valentino Bucchi Prize (2024), she now explores the relationship between space, sound, and audience in her doctoral research at the Conservatorio di Ferrara.
