𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗱𝗶 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗼, 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶 𝗱𝗶 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 – un carter in ferro di una vecchia piegatrice industriale, lastre d’ottone, ingranaggi arrugginiti di vecchie biciclette – il violoncello di metallo nasce dalla ricerca di un nuovo timbro, freddo, estremamente sonoro e disturbante. 𝗟𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝘂𝗻 𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘃𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼, sorta di doppio artificiale degli strumenti tradizionali perfezionati nei secoli per la bellezza del loro suono, 𝘃𝘂𝗼𝗹 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹’𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗹’𝘂𝗼𝗺𝗼 𝗵𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲, di riprodurre criticamente l’incursione umana in un luogo incontaminato. La prima esecuzione di “Impact” per violoncello di metallo e due violini ha avuto luogo sabato scorso 16 novembre presso la Sala Mosca di Cuneo. Composto da Leonardo Mezzalira e Simone Tessari / Taverna Maderna, il brano è stato affidato a Elide Sulsenti - strumentista in residence EstOvest Festival 2024 - al violoncello, Alexander Goldberg e Sara Mazzarotto ai violini. INTONAL 2026 Artist Presentation: Acousmatic Concerts at IAC (part 1 of 2) At IAC, INTONAL 2026 centres its acousmatic program within a 40+ speaker system, continuing a 15-year engagement with spatial sound. This year focuses on experimental scenes from South and Central America through talks and concerts, including a conversation between Laura Balboa and Lílian Campesato on historical and contemporary, female-driven sound practices. Concerts co-curated with Laura Balboa present works by composers from across the Americas outside the Global North. The program also includes a performance by Elide Sulsenti for cello, speakers and headphones, and a tribute to Annette Vande Gorne as she approaches her 80th birthday. He co-founded Hertzbreakerz and curates the academic programme of INTONAL at IAC. Annette Vande Gorne A key figure in acousmatic music, Annette Vande Gorne founded Musiques & Recherches and L’Espace du Son. Her work centres on spatial listening and has shaped electroacoustic practice and pedagogy internationally. Charlie Sdraulig Charlie Sdraulig composes intimate, exploratory works often engaging immersive formats and audience interaction. His music has been presented at festivals including Lucerne, MATA, and SPOR. Elide Sulsenti Elide Sulsenti is a cellist and performer exploring contemporary and experimental practices, integrating technology and spatial performance in her work. È difficile spiegare a parole cosa è accaduto ieri a Fano, ma è stata davvero una di quelle serate che avvalorano il senso del nostro lavoro e che rinnovano in noi il mistero della musica. Finalmente abbiamo coronato il progetto di esecuzione di Sieben Worte di Sofia Gubaidulina iniziato due anni fa con il podcast DiClassica e per questo dobbiamo ringraziare le musiciste di Orchestra Olimpia, per la loro squisita professionalità e apertura, i meravigliosi e volitivi solisti @elide_99 e @raffaeledamen , Lucia Ferrati per il suo insostituibile contributo artistico e @michelatintoni , la nostra sacerdotessa per una notte, direttrice solida e accogliente, per la prima volta con Orchestra Olimpia, ma speriamo non l’ultima!
