What does it mean to age with grace and dignity? For Aloysius, it means staying in the home he loves, with the support he needs. Three years ago, Aloysius had a fall while out buying food and was hospitalised for two months. Today, TOUCH’s Home Personal Care team visits him at home and assists with his activities of daily living so he can continue to live comfortably and independently. Every senior deserves to age well in place, with purpose and dignity. Our Home Personal Care team helps seniors with managing day-to-day life at home such as housekeeping and personal hygiene management so that they can continue to live independently with greater peace of mind.

More support, closer to home. 💙 Enabling Services Hub @ Jurong was officially opened today! Located at Taman Jurong Community Club, the opening of this new centre by SG Enable and TOUCH Community Services brings community-based support for persons with disabilities and their caregivers into the heart of Jurong, closer to home. This milestone was celebrated with over 300 residents, clients and caregivers, and joined by Mr Desmond Lee (@desmond.lee ), Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, Adviser to West Coast-Jurong West GRC GROs (Boon Lay and West Coast); and hosted by Mr Shawn Huang, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Manpower, Adviser to West Coast-Jurong West GRC GROs (Taman Jurong). The day was filled with inclusive activities – from boccia and interactive games, to disability awareness booths, creating meaningful opportunities for connection within the community. At ESH@Jurong , persons with disabilities can build confidence, develop daily skills, and form social connections while caregivers can also receive support, respite, and access to resources to empower them in their caregiving journey. Most importantly, it is a space where the community comes together to learn, interact, and grow in inclusivity. After 10 years out of the workforce, returning to work felt nearly impossible for Mdm Rahayu – but this determined mother wasn’t giving up on her family. Through @msfcares ComLink+ programme, she was connected her to @touchcommunityservices Project 1,2,3!, where a job coach helped her identify her strengths, refine her resume, and rebuild her confidence. Within two months, she found part-time work – and she has since landed a full-time job and secured a BTO flat. Throughout this journey, ComLink+ family coach Esther walked alongside Mdm Rahayu, working with her to overcome challenges and encouraging her every step of the way. We were honoured to welcome Ms Sun Xueling (@sun.xueling ), Senior Minister of State for National Development and Transport, to Hub with a Heart @ Serangoon! During yesterday’s visit, we had the opportunity to share our commitment to supporting youths in their growth journey through mentorship, meaningful engagement, and opportunities for community participation. Ms Sun also toured the space which included study pods and activity areas where youths gather for interest-based programmes such as barista training, ukelele, art and more. These spaces are designed to be safe and welcoming, where young people can explore their interests, build confidence, and form positive connections. Thank you, Ms Sun, for your encouragement as we continue to journey with our youths and empower them to thrive. At the recent monthly ‘Together We Care’ gathering, caregivers from Enabling Services Hub @ Jurong gathered for a well-deserved day of fun and laughter while forming meaningful friendships with others who truly understand the caregiver journey. Organised by TOUCH Caregivers Support Group and Enabling Services Hub @ Jurong, the day was filled with games, refreshments and genuine connection. Seeing our caregivers enjoying some respite and connecting with one another was a heartening reminder that caregiving is not a journey meant to be walked alone and those who care deserve to be cared for too.
