I’m still in awe we got to perform the ‘Signs of the Divine’ music video LIVE on @canal13michoacan 📺 This is the first time my cinematography aired on TV and I’m so honored it was on Mexican News. I filmed, edited, & directed, a 10 song visual mixtape ‘Imaginal Disc pt.I” then sold out multiple cinemas in Washington and I can’t even get a response from Seattle media 🤷‍♂️ The love and hospitality here is so tangible and I’m beyond grateful to be in this beautiful country. Mexican’s are Native Americans (literally Native to the Americas) and the ancient traditions still flow prevalently through the people. It’s horrible to hear how many Native families are currently being displaced and separated by the government in the U.S.A. The ignorance I see from all of the entitled people on stolen land infuriates me so much. I literally had to educate my own Mom on the residential schools where they abused & killed Native children for speaking their indigenous language. Native parents couldn’t legally keep their children until 1978… Signs of the Divine are all around us… so are signs of the continued genocide and colonialism by the white government.
