It’s a hard world. Sometimes you just need to look at a soft bird. 🕊️🕊️🕊️ Salient words from the enlightened @rosemarymosco , a fellow pigeon appreciator! Finally sharing the Big Pic of ‘COLUMBA’, painted in four color-drenched days for 12th Avenue Arts ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜I’m not a human, I’m a dove. I’m your conscience, I am love. 💜💙🩵💚💛🧡❤️
‘COLUMBA’, for 12th Avenue Arts. Thank you @strawshopsea and @communityrootshousing for having me!
A typical sight in urban areas worldwide, a population so deeply embedded within human communities, that they have become scorned for their commonness. Pigeons and doves are the same, it seems only our labels change. One is a universal symbol of peace and hope, the other labeled a pest! Maybe that says less about them, and more about us. In many ways, pigeons are reflections of ourselves: adaptable, social, and capable of building communities wherever suitable. For thousands of years, we admired and relied on them, as companions and messengers carrying news across great distances and battlefields. Dedicated to these bright, charismatic creatures, and to reminding ourselves of the long connected histories, streets, structures, and stories we share! 🌈

‘BLAME IT ON THE FALLING SKY’ ☄️🌌💫🛰️🌠
When you wish upon a falling star…it’s actually a celestial falcon speeding through space 🩵 your wishes are flying! Maybe the night sky has always been filled with starry winged-wonders. 🌟🪽
My contribution to the “Imaginary Birds” show by @common_area . Opening this Friday, 13 March at Common Objects art space from 6-9pm, part of @belltownartwalk . Thank you @alexander_mostov , for having me!

PIXELATED DAHLIA • 4 of 4 in the ‘Living Circuit’ Mural Series. Seattle’s city flower (I didn’t know we had a city flower!) dissolving into color fields with the Fibonacci spiral (an efficient growth pattern), why not.
The ‘Living Circuit’ series visualizes the invisible networks around us, integrating circuits and computer blob tracking into native and naturalized Pacific Northwest flora and fauna. These four walls illustrate the relationship between our local natural world and the digital tools we use to understand it.

STELLER’S JAY & THE FIRST COMPUTER BUG • 3 of 4 in the ‘Living Circuit’ Mural Series. A charasmatic Steller’s Jay interacts with the first computer bug (which was a real moth)! The moth was discovered by operators working on Harvard Mark II computer, it was stuck in a relay panel causing a malfunction, and is the origin of the term “bug” being used to describe a mistake or failure in a technical system.

GARRY OAK CANOPY • 1 of 4 in the ‘Living Circuit’ Mural Series, featuring Washington State’s only native oak tree the Garry Oak/Oregon White Oak (‘Quercus garryana’). The oak is a direct reference to Acorn Computers, Ltd, the predecessor for Arm.

‼️🚨New walls🚨‼️ Hit the ground running in 2026 with an office-wide, hand-painted ˚✧₊⁎experience⁎⁺˳✧༚ entitled ‘LIVING CIRCUIT’. Storytelling, rendering delightful details, and easter eggs galore. Stills to follow 💖
The ‘Living Circuit’ series visualizes the invisible networks around us, integrating circuitry and computer vision blob tracking into iconic Pacific Northwest flora and fauna. From the native Garry Oak, a nod to Arm’s origins as Acorn Computers, to the pixelated Dahlia (Seattle’s city flower). These four walls illustrate the relationship between our local natural world and the digital tools we use to understand it.
