**SOUND ON** One of our 5th Grade Exhibition groups researched dress code inequality and after surveying their fellow students, wrote an original song to raise awareness of how inequitably dress codes are often enforced. They partnered with @alkbln (family member of a Toomer student) to produce the track. Today we are celebrating of our new after school clubs- Jr Cheer! Led by Dr. Bradley these 1st and 2nd graders performed at PRIDE celebrations, at the holiday concert, at the Black History Month performance, and at an end of year showcase. What a great year!
End of year fun is here and orders are open for Field Day T-shirts ($10), Icees ($5), and Yearbooks ($20). To help make things easy and inclusive for all families, the school is asking everyone to contribute what they can toward these end of year costs, even if it’s not the full $35. You can purchase these items at a cost that works for your family using the link in our stories and bio.
We also need your help to make Field Days and the Talent Show a success! We’re looking for volunteers to: 1) lend and help set up tents for Field Days; and 2) support the Talent Show. If you’re able to pitch in (even for a short shift), we’d be so grateful! Link to sign up is in our stories and bio.
