Bit of fun to work with some of Australia’s sporting greats!
The team leant into natural light on this one, diffusing with an 8x8 as a base, and additional 4x4s to cover the details we couldn’t quite get to with that main scrim.
For the backlit sun setups, we ran a 8x8 ultra bounce to push a soft return back into faces and keep it feeling natural without losing shape.
And when the sun wasn’t playing in our favour, 2400B’s through 5ft Snapbags gave us quick, controllable soft light with enough punch to hold up against the shifting daylight.

2025, easily my biggest year yet. I’ve never needed a holiday more in my life, but so thankful to everyone who allowed me to capture their ideas over the past 12 months.
We’re back with more automotive work alongside DP Tom Roberts for Genesis. While we lit two different studios at Baker Street across the two days the setup across both had the same foundation, with a 12x12 overhead soft box for seamless reflections and buttery soft shadows. The soft box was supported with box truss on super windups which made repositioning fast and precise. This was complimented with a variety of soft and hard sources on the floor including Creamsource V8, Aputure 1200X, and Nanlux 2400B, giving shape to Brittany the presenter and bringing attention to details outside and inside the cars from shot to shot.
