@makamsalam and
@miraawadofficial are stepping into the round for a special big evening, combining 12 artists, video-art, poetry, and one powerful vision.
Makam Salam is a London-based collective of Palestinian, Israeli, Persian, Kurdish, Turkish, Jewish, and pan Middle Eastern artists - sharing a vision of cross-border solidarity instead of division. It’s a true cross-border collaboration, built slowly through listening, trust, and making music together, even when it’s not the easy option.
On Wed 25 Feb, we bring this work to The Cockpit Theatre, performing fully in the round, with the audience surrounding the musicians, all of us sharing one circle.
We’re proud to bring amazing artists - from Kurdish-Anatolian incredible singer of
@olcaybayir , Palestinian poet and spoken word artist
@shahdkaraeen , and a dozen other talented artists sharing the stage with us, with music, visuals, and song.
