LAKOTA NATION VS. UNITED STATES OUT NOW IN NYC @ifccenter 🎬🎞️📽️!
Sending so much gratitude to the enormous collection of folks that made this film and got it out into the world. There are not enough tags to do you justice. We'll be sharing some BTS footage from the whirlwind over the next few weeks + more screenings soon!

It is an honor to share this trailer for Lakota Nation vs United States. I was chatting with co-director and friend, Laura Tomaselli the other day about a new kind of heroism. I feel all the people involved in this project are heroes. From the amazing people who shared their truths on screen, to our amazing crew, to our wonderful producers, to the people who helped make this story become a reality. I believe life is about doing good things, being honorable in what you do and say, and good things will always come. I want good things to come our nations. So Laura and myself are so happy to share this trailer, and the film’s release date is right around the corner, July 14th. @lakotanationfilm
@jessshortbull and I feel overwhelmingly lucky and proud to have collaborated with this group of kind folks who also happen to be stupidly talented.
For a majority of us this was our first real trip out into what we thought was a post-covid world and it showed in how hard we worked and how well we endured 7 hour car trips while stopping off for b-roll. Thank you so much for being tireless and enthusiastic and down for anything.
WE IN TRIBECA BABY!
A heartfelt thank you to every person who has given their time in service of this epic story. Our shoots in South Dakota + all of the conversations since have been the least cynical and most illuminating parts of my life.
@jessshortbull I feel very lucky to be on this journey with you.
Looking forward to embarrassing everyone in future BTS posts after we finish the film!

10 years ago I was editing a TV spot for a horror movie that starred Jamie Lynn Sigler. To have the trailer campaign for this film cut by Mark Woollen (a company I obsessed over) is some truly surreal full circle shit for me.
Thank you to everybody who has already been so supportive in a time that is so singularly crazy.
