Everyone who’s ever told me Iceland is magical, is 100% right. Not that I didn’t believe them, I just never pictured it for myself. Other places, I imagined; Iceland drew a blank. So eyes shut, feet first, we got a camper and circled nearly the whole island and found countless waterfalls, hot springs and abundant moss that stretched for miles, nestled amongst volcanic rocks. We rode horses, watched sheep graze, saw puffins, seals and whales, touched glaciers, ate some of the best cinnamon buns of my life. All I ever learned in school was that Greenland is ice and Iceland is green. Iceland is beyond green; it is lush, moody, wild, immense.
nothing to see here except a wide variety of taiwanese food that is impossible to find in nyc, but that wide variety is just different renditions of the same few things (mostly dumplings and noodles) 🍜🥟🍽️
**highlight is the first slide, prepared by my great aunt in all of like three minutes**
Bali in a coconut shell 🏝️ takeaways:
• floral baths are actually quite fun (never knew)
• the ability to quickly procure three beverages at once is a good standard for vacation destinations
• water parks
• potatohead rules
• if you run into an old white man in the Bali jungle, there’s a pretty decent chance he’s the founder and namesake of a globally beloved jewelry brand
• actually bali has pretty bad coconuts
