What a day.
Yesterday was my senior capstone project, or the āReveal Senior Showcaseā as we call it. Our portfolios with our best work from the last four years sat on display, print and web formats. But the stars of the show were our wall installations. I painted mine to honor both how I got into the creative field and my talented family who taught me to express myself through artistry.
The outpouring of love Iāve felt from every branch of my community is unbelievable. In addition to being recognized for my contributions to the design department, creating the event materials and cleaning up in the gallery, I was fortunate to receive two awards: the āPrint Rockstarā and āReal-World Readyā awards, the second of which I was lucky enough to receive alongside the best friend this department has given me.
I want to thank so many people. My design professors to start. From my first day, you have always felt like friends happy to share your knowledge, and because of you Iāve always looked forward to coming to class. My family and friends, because I couldnāt have done this all by myself, and I have the best foundation. My classmates, especially those Iāve gotten to bond with over super late nights working in Bowen. Design can make you crazy, and itās been nice to have a little community to go crazy with. A special thank you to my dearest Morgan, the second half of Morgilly. I canāt imagine this year without you. And lastly I want to thank everyone who has supported me, through liking and sharing my work, coming to the showcase yesterday, being a part of my projects or for giving me freelance opportunities. I would simply have no portfolio without you.
A piece of my heart will forever belong here. Thank you for everything @jwu_design š¤

Professor Tim Cox recently joined legislators at the Rhode Island State House as part of RAMP (Real Access Motivates Progress), pushing for a dedicated disability awareness license plate in the state.
What makes this effort especially impactful? The legislation already exists ā the DMV simply hasnāt implemented it. This renewed push aims to bring the issue back into focus and ensure these plates are finally produced.
As a member of the legislative committee, Professor Cox is helping drive meaningful change, combining design, policy, and advocacy to amplify visibility for the disability community. When asked about the design, he noted the decision will ultimately rest with the state ā whether they embrace a custom design or default to a standard wheelchair symbol used elsewhere.
From the classroom to the State House, JWU faculty are making a difference where it matters most.

After a long journey filled with hard work and creativity, Iām thrilled to reveal my senior showcase! Iām so proud of how everything turned out, especially my personal brand and portfolio. Huge shoutout to my amazing classmates, working alongside such talented creatives has been an unforgettable experience. Iām also incredibly honored to be recognized as the JWU Design 2025 ātrulyā driven award recipient. This being my last big project at JWU, I couldnāt have done it without the support of the design, marketing, and advertising department. Thank you all for pushing me to be my best, no matter the ups and downs. Hereās to new beginnings! @jwu_design@jwupvdbiz@jwuprovidence #onejwu #jwuprovidence
