It’s hard to put into words how incredible this show was. Instead of writing some long thing I’m just gonna put it like this: I had tears in my eyes when the lights came on and the show was over. I was overwhelmed with joy and the privilege of performing visuals for @flyinglotus at @carnegiehall . It was an extremely special night and everything about it was magic 🎆

Since the first iteration, I knew there were features I wanted to integrate (haze, low-laying fog, haptic transducers, surround sound speakers, motorized LED bars, and spherical projection).

My biggest challenge was maintaining this ambitious vision while being malleable to logistical/budgetary limitations. I always wish I had more time, but at the end of the day, the gift of sharing something new with the world is the biggest reward.

MoonMedicin × MIT × Timeboy
This show was a long time in the making - a dream-come-true opportunity to push myself and create something I’d never seen before. Premiering at the MIT List Visual Arts Center and celebrating Sanford Biggers’ mesmerizing new sculpture, "Madrigal," we transformed the new Linde Music Building into a hypnotic, spiritual, and immersive experience.
The project was a deep dive into multiple forms of technology, carefully blended to amplify and expand the already incredible MoonMedicin live experience. This included experimenting with a projection-mapped circular floor, custom-tailored generative visuals specifically designed for the circular canvas, live video feedback, a vast 10-camera rig capturing every angle of the band - and of course, a shimmering disco ball at the center of it all, refracting cosmic vibes back into the room.
Huge thanks to the incredible @sanfordbiggers and the @moonmedicin musicians - what an honor to bring this vision to life with you. And to @mitlistarts - your openness to experimentation made it all possible.
