UNSEEN full length shot from Corpse Bride! Celebrating 20 years of Corpse Bride, this is the unedited version of Barkis's wedding speech as originally intended. Animated by myself @TimAllenAnimation . Tim Burton later added several close up reaction shots near the start. This put a small amount of my work on the cutting room floor, which is completely normal in filmmaking. Once the production wrapped, each animator was granted 5 of their shots for use in our portfolios & I was sent the complete version seen here. The animation arrived on DVD & mine had snapped in half in the post - I quickly asked for a second copy! Geek fact: This is the second longest shot in the movie & I would only get one attempt at animating it. The camera moved slowly forward controlled by a large pre-programmed motion control machine. It was like a train gradually heading along the tracks towards a vanishing point in the distance. Director of Photography Pete Kozachik was concerned that I may make many 'cut-backs' (redoing a frame because of a mistake or creative change). If this happened, all the motors would have to reverse to go backwards, then change direction again to continue forwards which may slightly put the motion control out of alignment & there would be a noticeable camera shift. He jokingly dared me to not make any mistakes & I stood by the challenge to move forward no matter what! With over 700 frames, animating 12 characters, this was a daunting task but I stuck to it  The frames were all captured on the camera's SD card which had be manually removed & emptied at least twice during the shot. We were nervous that this could also knock the camera out of position!  Before starting, I talked everything through with Animation Director Mike Johnson & Animation Supervisor Anthony Scott. We couldn't be certain, but guessed that the shot would take 4 weeks (plus 1 week rehearsal). It started behind schedule, but I got into a rhythm & hit that target. MOTION BLUR hand sculpted every frame! No Ai in sight! To give a blur effect, I resculpted the face adding extra ears, extending his hat, stretching his eyebrows & even softening the outline of his eyelids when moving fast. The puppet's nose was a solid shape upon which I added plasticine to drag & stretch it out. By comparison, swinging his jaw left & right was easy! El film obtuvo el premio de la Fundación Gan a la Distribución en el prestigioso Festival Internacional de Cine de Animación de @annecyfestival y competirá en las categorías de mejor película y mejor película de animación en los Premios del Cine Europeo que se entregan el 17 de enero en Berlín. Iborra también firma el guion, adaptación de la novela La película de la vida, de nuestra también socia @maitecarranza_ , junto a la propia escritora y @juliapratscarranza . La producción cuenta con dos de los artistas de stop-motion más reconocidos del mundo, cesarlinga y el británico @timallenanimation animadores de Wes Anderson y Tim Burton. 𝙊𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙖 𝙮 𝙚𝙡 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 narra la historia de una niña de doce años y su familia, obligados a mudarse del centro a un lugar de la periferia. 💬 “Contribuir a desestigmatizar los desahucios y la pobreza infantil con una historia tan bonita es una forma muy poderosa, e incluso bella, de compartir este tema tan delicado con los niños”, explica Iborra.
