Dear Berliners, Here a short note that today at 20.00h Sandra Schäfers film INTO THE MAGNETIC FIELDS (2024) is being shown as part of Berlin Short Film Festival 2025 at @babylonberlin . For Sandra’s film, questioning the post-human conditions of production in agricultural environments, I contributed a selection of short-wave interferences that I collected on various WebSDR-stations over the years. Further beautiful soundtrack contributions came via Maya Shenfeld and Dominik Eulberg (as a bird observer).. Absolutely worth a watch! More info here: https://www.visionsdureel.ch/de/film/2024/into-the-magnetic-fields/ Film still with kind permission of Sandra Schäfer © 2024 #sandraschäfer #mayashenfeld #dominikeulberg #ursulakleguin #markfisher #lygiaclark #timtetzner #dystopian #landscapes #robotics #bostonrobotics #magneticfields

Dear friends and Berliners, as my exhibition at @mi_so_berlin is coming to an end, we will have a full day finissage tomorrow Saturday, 3 Feb 2023 from approx 14h till 20h. I will be around along those hours and it would be my pleasure to meet for drinks and chat! mi_so’s store will also be open over the day and I’m sure some great music will be played! Thanks again to Erik and Monique for inviting and making this happen – both the exhibition and the beautiful publication that came with it. And surely an even warmer Thank You to @romeo.poirier for his amazing contribution to the exhibition (medieval shoewear) and the lovely set he played at our opening performances! (and als thanks to mi_so for the beautiful imagery that I posted here and that they did post as “A visual summary of mi - so 2023” some time ago and that I simply hijacked and trimmed down. Music: Erik K Skodvin - "Observing the lights from above) ... Dear all, here a short pro-forma reminder to tomorrows IN-STORE SESSIONS at @mi_so_berlin that @romeo.poirier and myself will be playing. As far I know, both dates are fully booked but one can try and drop an email to [email protected] for waiting list.. Happy to see you around! –– IN-STORE SESSIONS # 16: ROMÉO POIRIER & TIM TETZNER. mi - so is happy to announce the first double bill concert. And quite the special one it will be. Roméo Poirier (Faitiche / Sferic) visits from Brussels to perform on the same bill with @tim_tetzner . This also happens in parallel to Tim’s exhibition AFFORDANCE AND FEEDBACK WITHDRAWAL which opens Oct. 27th at mi - so. — Brussels-based musician and photographer, Roméo Poirier, well known for his dense and enchanting ambient and electro-acoustic music, released on on labels Faitiche, Sferic and Kit Records. Roméo will give an outlook on new sample and research-based material from the hidden realm of historical studio engineering. — Berlin based visual artist Tim Tetzner is among other things known for his artwork production and graphic design work for Jan Jelinek’s Faitiche label. His approach to sound is speculative and material based and is since interested in how music can be made from non-music. Tim is going to present a new piece, a text-sound-composition based on the idea of FEEDBACK and the mesmerizing effects of giving, receiving, avoiding and withdrawing feedback from the social environment. — ROMÉO POIRIER & TIM TETZNER LIVE @ MI - SO Sat. 28th. OCTOBER Doors 19h, concert start 19.30h + Sun. 29th OCTOBER Doors 13.30h, concert start 14h. #mi_so_berlin #timtetzner #romeopoirier #instoreconcert #faitiche #sferic

Dear all, Happy to contribute a sound piece to the finissage of Antonia Lows exhibition "Uran und andere Szenarien" tomorrow, 16 September 2023 at Spor Klübü. Song for Uranium Glass Converter by Tim Tetzner Saturday, 16 September, 7–10 pm Spor Klübü Freienwalder Str. 31 Berlin-Wedding For the finissage of the exhibition "Uran und andere Szenarien", Tim Tetzner responds with an electronic sound environment to Antonia Low’s artistic setting of sculptural repository models. "Song for Uranium Glass Converter" is based on Tim Tetzner's research into the aesthetics of underground nuclear waste repositories. While translating their visual properties and inherent representational conditions into spatial, multi-channel compositions, the repository remains inaccessible and sound becomes a hypothetical approach to what is sensorially non-experiential. "Uran und andere Szenarien" deals with specific objects from Antonia Low's studio. The studio is a steadily growing repository of remarkable findings, research materials and test pieces. On closer inspection, some of the curiosities hold significant potential for the future, as their materials are said to be radioactive to a certain extent. Now, in the arrangement of a museum archive, a uranium glass and a stalagmite are kept in sculptural depot models made of radiation-proof lead and heat-conducting salt. @tim_tetzner  @antoniaslow #uraniumglassconverter #modelarchives #uranglass

Dear friends in Berlin, Feel invited to todays opening of the exhibition of “Studio Stadt - Peripheries of Electronic Music” at @scharaun . Opening June 24th from 4-10 pm. 4pm Walk with Ahu Dural Siemens worker Yurda Gül (registration required at [email protected]) 4-6 pm Soundperformance: Boris Hegenbart 7pm & 8pm Concert by Myriam El Haik with Meittam Govreen | Seven is Heaven Electronic music is the music of the technical age: tones and sounds are generated by electricity-driven machines. Based on the history of the Siemens Studio for Electronic Music, founded in 1960; Studio Stadt. Peripheries of Electronic Music mixes diverse (sound) traces into a reflection on the automation processes of the working and living world in the 20th and early 21st century. The exhibition project considers electronic music as an early form of digital culture and places it in relation to the changing urban peripheries of the two "Siemens cities" Berlin and Munich. Globally active tech corporations are not only actors of industrialization, but have always shaped social urban development through company-owned real estate companies and ownership of land. Against this background, the artists in Studio Stadt experiment with the potential of making invisible flows and infrastructures audible and making visible unheard narratives inscribed in the body of the city. Curated by @tim_tetzner #jarostraub and #florianwüst in collaboration with @ralfhomann . The exhibition is part of this year’s @projectfestival . Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday from 12-18h Or by appointment at [email protected] #jochenbecker #svenboeck @johannadiehl_ @ahu_dural @tatiana_echeverri_fernandez @larissafasslerberlin @bdhegenbart #michaelamelián
