I've been a bit orrf recently, and yesterday I happenstance popped into the Bowie show You're Not Alone @_lightroomldn and I didn't come out for half a day. Had a Bowie nap on the floor, felt the 'a bit orrf' fucking orrf. Laughed to remember the times I danced about like a bag of fools to Sweet Thing/Candidate again and again, full blast, in the living room while my parents above were patient, and maybe my stepfather, Fritz, was watching Heartbeat, an ashtray in his blanketed lap. Fritzwasn't a huge Bowie fan, he was Lennon all the way, but my mother was/is. Still, like most kids I felt Bowie was mine in that cottage in the middle of nowhere in the early 80s. I was appalled when boxy school fellows put him on their walls, Let's Dance style, with the yellow quiff. Anyway, a nostalgia burst, but really the show is about Bowie, not me, but we find ourselves back there, Bowie nap or not, and that's a damn good thing. #bowie #lightroom #yourenotalone
