What an incredible experience! We were to be part of the African Women in Dialogue exchange, where we were given the opportunity to connect with women from across Africa. As Body Ability, we were thrilled to share our passion for dance and movement, and to learn from such an inspiring group of women. Through this workshop, we saw firsthand how Body Ability's mission to empower movement and unlock physical potential can transcend borders and cultures, uniting women in celebration of African heritage and excellence.

Reflecting on this humbling sharing. "Hard but Fragile" is an offering that I started exploring during season 8 at the @lessgoodidea 2 years ago. This work explores the gaining of power from pain in collaboration with the great @miccamanganye . Thank you to The Center of Somewhere @tmsomewhere for the opportunity to further my thesis on this provocation. I had an opportunity to share the extended version of this work this year, and I am very grateful to the center team for making this possible, Makwande! Costume and set done by @thabi_seng69 , you are amazing 👏.
📸 @zivanaimatangi , your lens always amazes me. Syabonga Bahlali , kwande lanithathe khona!
Through a fusion of physical theatre, dance, and storytelling, LINKED delves into the complexities of human relationships, the dynamics of love and loss, and the universal search for belonging.
The production presents idealogies of interconnectedness rooted in African spirituality and connection.
