This year the entire goal for entering into my 36 year was I want all of my people at one table at one time.
“So much of my life happens in compartments and segments. I do not want my birthday compartmentalized.” I won’t believers and I’m believers at the same table. Friends and family. Family by love and by blood.
There is so much in the world going wrong, but just for one night I wanted a beautiful and healing evening with as many of the people I love as possible. Some were not able to make it. But everyone who was meant to be there was there.
I laughed, talked, felt good, looked great! I danced with my father for the first time! He got moves y’all! 🕺🏾🤩
I got to see another side of my mother that is also full of beauty and power and I got to name it! What a privilege! 💕
I got to laugh with my friends and say thank you Jesus in front of folks who know what I’m about even if they are too shy to join in. 🙌🏼
I got a massive embrace from @supermom_jade which is a huge gift! And we got to have birthday cake together again! Love you!😘
Shout out to my Ace🤗 @queengcreative we’re going out of her way to plan a weekend full of surprises, including going to @thebodhispa and a surprise pop-up from @beautifiesthemeek to make some custom fragrances at @scentiqueri 🥹. Loved going to the lil cafe and eating nostalgic food! You really have spoiled me so and I could not have asked for a better birthday or a better bestie birthday manager lol! Love you girl!
I am reluctantly even grateful for the blizzard that outpaced 1978. 😳 It allowed me room to think, sleep, and rest. I wanna go home though… I miss Atlanta and being warm without a puffer coat. The Lord has already begun, exposing some of the tactics of the enemy for this year, including the ones that have been launched against me. I love being a spy in the spirit! ⚔️ We war but I will not be allowing the warfare to overshadow the JOY. This year I will cultivate room for creativity, joy, whimsy, and wonder as non-negotiables.
