THE RIGHT TIME PLACE AND PEOPLE In the autumn and winter of 2025, Lam Ho Man traveled to a foreign land to retrieve the ashes of his sister, Lam Ho Ting, and bring them back to Hong Kong. During this brief period, he experienced a small adventure with his sister’s boyfriend, Yu Ching. Flying a kite requires the harmony of timing, location, and human effort. What a wonderful time we had with the cadets at HKMoA last summer✨! It was such a joy to create a 3-day “Zine” making workshop🔖!! We guided the students through every step of the process, brainstorming, designing and handcrafting their very own art zines✂️ It was truly inspiring. 💙Huge thanks to Joyce, the Friends of Hong Kong Museum of Art, and the HKMoA for their trust and support!! Thanks to @lautszyan_tiffy and @dorylab for all the preparation and co-leading the workshops! It’s already been a year!✨ So happy to be one of the residents at @interval_in and excited be part of the new studio exhibition 24/25, “New Inhabitants of the Current”, which shows a year of development in creative concepts and craftsmanship. My new work, “The Copy”, is a series of photogram of my previous work “Handle with Care”. The rose petals are rotting and mouldy, and I am trying to transfer the image of this stage in an archive to document the process. It is now on display at 5/F Open Space at the JCCAC, so please go and take a look!!💙 The exhibition is running until next Sunday, 23 November! #RearrangeReconstructReform 繡球 花 The Blooms of Hydrangea Cyanotype on Fabric 75cm x 150cm each, 2 pieces The hydrangea is formed by many decorative flowers to create a plump look, have you ever tried to view it from a different perspective? This work is combined with two pieces, which can be viewed separately, from large to small. The most complete way of seeing the entire work, is to view both pieces together. The first row starts from the first flower on the left piece, to the last flower on the right piece, which completes a full picture. When the two pieces are combined, the largest decorative flower is in the upper left corner of the left piece, and the smallest is in the lower right corner of the right piece. And here is the entire hydrangea, which contains about 420 small flowers. Photography: Andrew Tse #conceptualart #contemporaryart #cyanotypephotography #hydrangea #hongkongart #hongkongartist
