The now convicted 51 men in this horrific rape trial have been dubbed “Monsieur Tout-Le-Monde” or “Mr. Every Man”. The defendants represent a broad cross-section of France from their 20s to their 70s: a nurse, a factory worker, a local journalist, a shopkeeper. These men are your neighbors, your brothers, fathers, husbands. They are ordinary people and that is what is so disturbing about this case.

In 2014 I got pregnant on my IUD and had an abortion. I have zero regrets about it. If I had a baby I very likely:
- wouldn’t have gone back to school
- wouldn’t have made a career change, something that has made me so incredibly happy
- wouldn’t have been able to afford to live in NYC
I would have been totally fine, but I would not be where I am today and I’m really happy where I am today. And anyway who cares because no matter what I would have gotten that abortion, man! And same for the thousands of others who will need abortions in the future regardless of whether it’s legal or not.
