This Juneteenth [June 19th to be exact], We present STUDIO 816! A dance party celebrating the beauty, energy, and culture of black music. Traversing sonically through different regions and times, celebrating with the spirit of freaknik, studio 54, and basement parties all over Black america. It’s simple, we will be watching queer films that center Black people and queer people of color. Then, afterwards, we will reflect on the movie’s themes and our personal stories with a workshop.
