It is vitally important at this time to recognize that electronic music at its roots was pioneered by Black, queer and trans creators and integrated (and celebrated!) in historically marginalized communities. From Wendy Carlos with her work on The Shining, Clockwork Orange, and the original Tron, to original gay house/disco-oriented DJs such as Larry Levan, DJ Celeste Alexander, and Ron Hardy to the legendary Godmother & Godfather of House icons Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale and Frankie Knuckles, to the originators of techno in Detroit (the Belleville Three: Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson), the history and legacy of electronic music, and particularly underground spaces, is indebted to and interwoven with Black and queer artists. In Process is dedicated to the honoring and recognizing of the founders along with recognizing that electronic music at its core should serve and integrate within our local communities.

TWOCC is hiring a Paid Executive Assistant to help keep things moving behind the scenes. This role touches scheduling, communications, and the work that keeps our programs and events running.
This is for someone who can stay organized, move with urgency, and care about the work as much as the community.
Trans people, Black people, and people of color are strongly encouraged to apply.

Come build with us.
Sometimes we spill.
Sometimes we crack.
But every one of us carries color, care, and something worth holding onto.
This season is a reminder that we don’t have to be perfect to be whole. We just have to keep showing up as ourselves.
Happy Easter from TWOCC 💜

Missouri and Kansas showed up for the Level Up: Resource Fair
This was the first resource fair in our region led by a Black trans woman-led organization, and it mattered.
Over 30 organizations, real resources, and community moving together across Kansas and Missouri. Not just an event, but a response to what our people are facing and a reminder of what we can build together.
Thank you to everyone who pulled up, tabled, volunteered, and supported. Thank you to our partners for showing up with care.
This is just the start.
