With deep gratitude to everyone involved. Sharing a few moments from the Carnegie Hall Tibet House Concert. It was such a joy to offer a spontaneous piece with my dear friends Laurie Anderson and Martha Mooke, inspired by the final poem of the 6th Dalai Lama, “White Crane.” This was followed by “Snowy Mountain - Gangri” from my recently released album Be the Sky with Philip Glass, performed with Alex Gray, the Scorchio Quartet, and the powerful voices of the Resistance Revival Chorus, in honour of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Most of the Photos by Christine Connallon and David Iskra. “White Crane” - final poem of the 6th Dalai Lama
Oh White crane!
Lend me your wings.
I will not fly far -
From Lithang, I shall return. Snowy Mountains - Gangri Rawe
In the land encircled by the snowy mountains
Is the source of all happiness and benefit.

May you stand firm until samsara ends. @tibethouse.us @thisisalexgray @elecviola @laurieandersonofficial @scorchioquartet @resistancerevivalchorus

OUT NOW: Infrasound x Darian Donovan Thomas: Book of Sorrows “The music you are about to hear stems from a collaboration between ten InfraSound musicians and composer Darian Donovan Thomas. Workshopped over two months in Fall 2023, and further developed from 2023-2025, Book of Sorrows is a musical spellbook in response to the need for a safe space to process queer trauma, sadness, and sorrow musically. During our workshops, Darian and InfraSound worked through different modes of expressing sorrow, and how deeply it is rooted in queer identity. Oftentimes as queer musicians, we seek validation through external means (for example praise from our peers, accolades, and recognition). Validation, more often than not, forms our sense of “queer joy” and belonging. Institutions meanwhile fetishize this joy in order to assimilate our bodies into a heteronormative societal framework. While queer people are praised for being joyful and vibrant, we also are often silenced or ostracized for expressing anything that fits outside of this rigid frame. In order to fully embrace queerness in all of its multifaceted beauty, we must also support and celebrate the dark and difficult parts of ourselves that we tend to keep hidden. To be fully embraced as a queer person is to be seen. We hope this music will give an opportunity for audiences to peek into our internal selves, to bask in its sorrow, pain, and beauty, and to break free from society’s expectations of us.” - Yoshi Weinberg Shara Lunon, voice Luke Paulino, voice Stefanie Proulx, flutes Yoshi Weinberg, flutes, pedal harp Kristina Teuschler, bass clarinet Giancarlo Latta, violin Dudley Raine IV, viola Sam Zagnit, double bass J Clancy, percussion Daniel Schreiner, piano Darian Donovan Thomas, voice, electronics, piano Music and Texts by Darian Donovan Thomas Produced by Darian Donovan Thomas and Alex Ring Gray Engineered by Michael Hammond Recorded at Figure 8 Recording – Brooklyn, NY Except for Vocals on “Inner Child”, and Electronics, engineered by Alex Ring Gray Recorded at Dunvagen Music – New York, NY Mixed by Alex Ring Gray and Darian Donovan Thomas Mastered by Dan Langa Photos by Matt Josephson

🌟 World Premiere of Be the Sky 🌟 With much happiness sharing that the world premiere of Be the Sky, the new album by Tenzin Choegyal & Philip Glass, is coming to life with an extraordinary lineup of talent to bring this album to the stage. Joining the team for the premiere are the amazing Alex Ring Gray (multi-instrumentalist), the two-time Grammy-winning Attacca Quartet, the 17-piece Skidmore String Orchestra led by Michael, and the brilliant Ellie on mandolin and Francis on banjo. We’re also graced by Dr. Russell, Ezri, and Teresa on saxophone, Dr. Floydd’s Vocal Soul Collective (with a children’s choir from Saratoga Springs), Tsering Dorjee Bawa and Siena bringing movement to the performance, Frank weaving our sound, and Gavin lighting up the entire space and our curator Zhenelle on spoken word! Here are some fun photos from many of our first meetings… it’s been such a joy to experience everything come together! ✨💖 It’s going to be a night filled with energy, passion, and beauty—and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
