Pest Sounds just turned one and so did this video we shot for the song Southern Accidents: a retrospective commentary spoken in detached fascination of some of the more unsavory characters and situations I grew up around in Goose Creek, South Carolina some 25 odd years ago. Charleston has had quite a glow up in the last couple decades and I love my hometown with all my heart but this is a little look at the underbelly. We got some of our @unclepeckerhead /Subtle T Rex gang back together to shoot this and we did it all over four weekends, shot mostly in my house and stealing shots on the street. Our second record PEST SOUNDS turns ONE today. We recorded it in Philadelphia at @retrocitystudios with our beloved @andytylerclarke who really brought the songs to life and did such a great job with this record. I love him. Thanks to everyone who has checked it out, bought one or told a friend about it ❤️

WHOA. If you had told 12-year-old Matt that a movie he made would one day grace the pages of Fangoria, my brain would have melted right out of my ears. The UNCLE PECKERHEAD road show rolled through the New York City for a SOLD-OUT screening and Q&A with the filmmakers, presented with @fantastic.fest and @alamonyc Huge thanks to everyone who came out, asked questions, and made it a night to remember!

SOUTHERN ACCIDENTS will make its New York City premiere at the @coneyislandfilmfest on Saturday, May 2nd. 7pm // Program 7 // Coney Island Museum Who wants to catch some flicks, eat some chili cheese dogs, and smooch under the Cyclone?

LORDY! A week has passed and your boy is finally coming back down to EARF. Fantastic Fest in Brooklyn was PURE MAGIC. We came, we partied, we screened, we A-ed some Q’s, we learned to love again. Thanks again to @_yulissagothacked , @lisadreyer8 , @alamonyc , @fangoria , and everyone at @fantastic.fest for a weekend to we will never forget. Sad that our little tour has come to an end, but it’s time to get to work on the next one.

ONE WEEK AWAY, Y’ALL! Who’s coming out to the roadshow? To get ready for next weekend, we combed through old posts and pictures people sent us over the years. And we cried. And cried. And cried some more. Happy tears. We’re a sentimental lot. Putting these events together while working full-time jobs has been a little stressful, but looking back at all those photos and all that love knocked the anxiety right out of us. Now we’re just fucking STOKED. To everyone who watched the movie, rented the movie, stole the movie, told a friend or two, bought a shirt or record, sent us an email or DM, left us a review on @letterboxd (especially the nice ones), shouted us out on Reddit or anywhere else on the WWW, or slapped our sticker up at a bar bathroom... THANK YOU. We love you. We love that we got to make this movie, and the fact that it reached even one person outside our orbit is completely bonkers to us. We really hope to see all y’all next weekend.
