Vision 8291 is an annual convening designed to center visionary BIPOC leaders globally, raise awareness locally, and fuel grassroots organizations in Austin, TX. Every year during SXSW, Vision:8291 brings together creators, innovators and industry leaders to build something that belongs to the culture.

Thank you to the @soundcloud team @marielenag_@djdonjuan4life@square biz for hosting the @venicemusic community for a day at their HQ for SoundCloud School. We got an inside look at platform features, artist opportunities, and even played community membersā music during a live feedback session with the team.
It was a full circle moment for meāSoundCloud was the platform that got my foot in the door in the music industry. I used to spend hours digging for undiscovered artists, which eventually led to DJing and landing my first industry job at Edm.com.
If youāre an artist releasing music, I highly recommend prioritizing SoundCloud. Theyāre creating more tools and discovery pathways than ever to help emerging artists get heard.

The @goodluckyogi app is officially live! Over the past two years, Iāve been working with JC and the Good Luck Yogi team to create a platform that teaches kids meditation and deep breathing techniques at an early age.
With mental health challenges rising among younger generations, teaching these tools to children so they can integrate it into their daily lives can make a massive difference. It helps them build a stronger connection with themselves, manage emotions better, and regulate their nervous systems in a healthy way.

P.s. If you can avoid it, never to fly through Houston during the early summer! My flight got delayed 5x then canceled due to the storms. So I caught an Uber from Houston to Austin to get to C Boys in time to catch the end of @jenniferfosterandtheaudacity . Thank you @chezjessica for allowing me and @jamiegoodro to accompany you to Austin what a special experince that was (pic 9).

@goodluckyogi will make a lasting impact on this time period and future generations to come. In a world where we are constantly taken away from our inner selves through exterior stimuli like internet, TV, and social media, the need to go within is more important now than ever, especially for the children.
Meditation should be a daily practice taught to children, similar to saying the pledge of allegiance at the start of every day. Our plan is to introduce GLY into schools all across the world, beginning with inner-city schools and expanding to all schools.
The positive impact this can have is tremendous, and I am so excited to be working with JC and the rest of the team to build a platform that introduces wellness to the youth as early as daycare.
I look forward to sharing more of this journey with you all; we have a lot of work to do collectively to heal this planet and all the beautiful beings that inhabit Gaia.
