Landed in Reno, NV! I am loving all the art installations from Burning Man here in the streets of Reno! Here is a glimpse around the J Resort where I'll be participating in the Burn After Meeting (BAM) conference. BAM is a participant-driven conference bringing together Regional Event Producers to teach, learn, and build a support system. I'll be supporting @burnerswithoutborders new Regional Event Civic Ignition Grant process and facilitating a Sustainability roundtable to build a network of sustainability minded folks across the Regional Network. Woohoo!

Grant alert! My colleagues at @burnerswithoutborders and @burningman are piloting a new Regional Event Civic Ignition Grant! This is a new program designed to fund innovative civic and community-based projects connected to Regional Events and 10 Principles-aligned gatherings. Any project rooted in the 10 Principles is welcome to apply, regardless of location. They are particularly looking for projects that build open-source production and community-building tools that can be used across the Regional Events network. Some examples of the kinds of projects are: - Designing and testing new infrastructure to improve safety, accessibility, and resilience at events. - Experimenting with sustainability practices that reduce environmental impact—through new approaches to materials, energy, water, waste, or shared systems. - Creating civic projects that engage and benefit local communities before, during, or after the event. - Sharing new ideas and learnings that can inspire and be remixed by other Regional and 10 Principles-aligned events across the global Burning Man network. Anyone can apply—individuals, event production teams, camps and nonprofits. This grant supports collaborative, creative, and principle-driven ideas, with the potential to receive up to $1,500 in funding. Apply here! /uncategorized/2025-regional-event-grant/

Its interesting to hear so much about a town. To be told you'd love it and that you'd have an amazing time. What do they know that I dont't know? What is it that makes a place so loveable? Well, my first night walking into Pai.. I fell in love. The charm, the lights, the good vibes. An exciting atmosphere with small town dynamics. A spread of immersive nature and ancestrial tales. Mind boggling.. that an environment can happily hold tourists, hippies, and locals together. Its a place of healing, self growth, connection, and experiencing. Now it all makes sense. Thank you Pai!

I cannot deny that I have enjoyed the feeling of perplexing vietnamese locals and backpackers. I love it when someone cant help but ask where I'm from, who I am, and what on earth made me this way. Unexpectedly, I have now come to discover that I far more enjoy the feeling of being absolutely perplexed.. about where someone is from, who they are, and what on earth has made them that way. Oh nature. You're so cool. Ha Giang, Vietnam

It has taken me some time to like Hanoi, but now i really do! Once you get your bearings, the hustle and bustle isnt such a shock to the senses. Rode a train right on these tracks to Dinh Binh!
