This was my first time doing appliqué and it was challenging but also really therapeutic. I really fell in love with hand stitching and how intentional it is. The whiskers were the most challenging part. I wanted the background quilting lines to have a lot of texture and depth.

I’ve been doing a lot of dragon and sword patterns lately and realized that I’m missing something in this story line…a knight! Went looking for knight art and found this absolutely beautiful pattern by @naughtyhedgehogdesigns ! ✨ She worked with me to scale her pattern down (thank you so much, Alison!! ♥️) to my book sleeve size and it’s finally here!
So in love with how it turned out and can’t wait to have it out at @bluegenieartbazaar starting May 1st…completing my fantasy book sleeve shelf!

I’ve got a lot of new spring wrist bag fabrics and I’m slowly making my way through them! So far all of them will have canvas linings to make them more weather proof (lots of rain lately) for all your spring outings ☺️🌿
