𝖳𝖧𝖤 𝖳!𝖭𝖸 𝗂𝖲𝖲𝖴𝖤 𝗑 𝖦𝗂𝗏𝖾 𝖤𝗇𝖽𝗅𝖾𝗌𝗌𝗅𝗒 𝗑 𝖲𝗂𝗆𝗆𝗈𝗌 ⁡ Some people say a 𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒 is the universal language, but to us, 𝑭𝑶𝑶𝑫 is the easiest way to make friends. This is exactly why we’re inviting you to an art opening night celebrating unity, culinary creativity, and community through art and the joy of sharing. ⁡ The 𝙚𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 considers the movement of people via foodways. Market calls, multilingual menus and substitutions from “home” to London are in view. We trace sourcing, seating, custom, memory and retold habits, treating recipes and utensils as archival artefacts; with hospitality as our exhibiting language, showcasing small-format, wall-based works and a community recipe collection gathered and shared with the wider Simmos community. ⁡ For our 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, we’re serving canapés and desserts specially designed for the exhibition. Curated 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙥é𝙨 by @alkhanmadanny and 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨 by @murder.cake are collaborating with ceramic works with 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙤 𝙍𝙞𝙤𝙨 @riolabceramics and 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖 𝙏𝙤𝙣𝙜 @studio.m.ceramics , turning vessels into part of the narrative of foodways.
