Dear Joe, I never imagined that the last time I saw you would be the last time. It still feels unreal that you’re gone. We shared a lifetime of memories—travels, countless tours, and so many moments that I’ll hold onto forever. Through it all, you were more than a friend—you were a brother.
You were the true example of what a father and husband should be—always kind, always present, and always showing love. Not just to your own family, but to mine, to my children, and to everyone around you. You weren’t just the best tech I ever had; you were my encourager, my coach, and my biggest supporter through every high and low, every mistake, and every victory. You held me down. All I ever had to do was sit behind the kit, put my ears on, and trust that everything else was handled—because that was the kind of excellence you carried.
You were perfect in your role, my brother. And on top of that, you were a bad ass drummer in your own right, yet still humble enough to serve and tech for others. That says everything about the kind of man you were.
I still can’t believe you’re gone, but I will carry your love, your loyalty, and your light in my heart forever. I’m holding Cindy and the girls close in my prayers.

Flashback to September 19, 2004—when my firstborn, my angel, Anaya, came into this world. I can hardly believe it’s been 21 years already. Where did the time go? It feels like just yesterday I was bringing you home from the hospital. From changing your diapers, to shopping trips at Justice, to theme park adventures, summers in LA, elementary and high school days, Paul Mitchell school, and now moving to LA to chase your dreams—every stage has been such a blessing to watch.
My little girl isn’t so little anymore 🥹. I now have a beautiful, grown, 21-year-old daughter! 🤯 Saying I’m proud doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel. You’ve blossomed into such an incredible young woman, and I know the best is still ahead. The world is your canvas, and you were made to leave your mark in the most amazing way.
