SHUTTER COUNT ZINE VOL.1 This zine was mainly to organize my photos in a way that wasn’t your simple online post but something real and tangible. As I progressed with the thought and idea, I suddenly got a voice behind my photos, these moments, something to say about the community that I’ve been around for the past 8 years. Focusing on what makes our community, us. The name came from the literal definition of Shutter count in a camera, it’s either the amount of shots you’ve taken over the life span of a camera or until your film roll is done. Either way I find it symbolic to a lifespan of a community, its ups, its downs, its people, its places, all important. I think it’s time to really give all of that some light. And I hope you enjoy viewing this as my little project goes to the public and becomes your zine. That either sits on a coffee table or framed like an award or shoved in a book bag, torn, damaged, or just a post you liked.
