Thesis Showcase 2026.
Even as I write this I struggle to put into words what this weekend meant to me; the choreography, the music choice, the highs, the lows…everything so beautiful in such an essential way. So where I can’t express, I’ll just write here what I wrote when I sent in the bio.
‘This is EC, and these are some of his friends. They inspire him every single day and they are some of his favorite dancers in the whole world. We’ve had just so much fun putting this set together, and we hope you have even more fun watching it. Sing the words if you know them.’
Please understand that the fire formations (as well as choreography for several pieces) were done by @marzachan . They deserve all their flowers.
If you were a part of this in anyway, I love you.
If you took time out of your day to watch, I’m grateful.
Battle post to come separate.
Thank you for having us, @thesisdance .
We’d love to come back 🥰
Enjoy 💕

truth is.
this wasn’t a first take. Or a second, or even a third. I listened to this song and kept recording rounds over and over. But this time, it wasn’t about what I didn’t like. It was about what i didn’t *feel* from each take. This one just felt different. So it’s the one I got to edit and post. Enjoy me, doing some house dance. More LABS this year. Iykyk.
Oh, and if you wanna learn some,
Fridays at 7PM.

See you soon :)
“Unarchived, vol. 1”
I have literally dozens, if not more, pieces in my archives that haven’t really been posted and I think this is a good place to put them. I’ll give context for every single one; some are just for fun, others are a little deeper and more meaningful. This piece, “Dive”, was taught on September 19th, 2024, less than 3 months after my stroke. The doctors had told me it would take me at least 3 months to walk again, and that i would *maybe* be dancing 6-8 months later. I was spurred by the need to be there for my kids, as well as the loss of something I thought would be a constant for a long time. Oddly enough, this piece doesn’t exude sadness for me but more a willingness to move through the sea of things I was experiencing, a way to release and communicate so many feelings of determination and hope. I hope you get the chance to swim around in your own personal waters today.

One of the features that made us want this beast of a cart was its motorized RC feature, she can be a little clunky on concrete, but on a field it moved like BUTTAH, baby! So to see it in action really made us smile! 😊 now we're all terrain. 🏕
Thank you @emorysawc for having us yesterday! We really love doing student events and you were a joy to serve. Thank you for supporting us! We hope to be back again!
💛🤎💛🤎
been moving way too fast lately.
Job to job
Task to task
This is a reminder to myself (and to you) to
Slow. Down.
There’s so much to take in, everywhere. From everything. If you can, take time to move for yourself. Get it out. Feel what you need to feel, say what you need to say.
Create what you need to create.
Your energy matters.
You matter.
And if your energy demands that you *don’t* produce? Then that’s ok too.
Take care of yourself out here.

@dilxdanceintensives
I’ve been going to these intensives almost annually since @elliotyjyou started them so many years ago, and my heart is always so full when I get to train with and alongside so many talented people. NC has a special place in my heart as somewhere where I got to really grow in community, and this intensive is a reminder of the power of that.
Every single teacher from this intensive had something special to offer and I’m always grateful to get to learn from these individuals. The classes I managed to get footage of are tagged, but as for @dannyji_ , @brestufff , @adaywithvensky , @_julianstokes , @aanthony_32 and @elliotyjyou , y’all are incredible humans and you are the brightest of lights for the dance world.
I got to speak a little bit on how this community can keep that openness and joy alive during a Q&A on the last day, and the main thing I wanted people to take away was this: that each individual’s artistry was THE reason for the room being special, and that if they could bring that to every room they came into, then those rooms would grow and benefit.
This year, for me, is about not shrinking from my own power; and being absolutely unapologetic about who I am and what I have to offer.
2026 is just getting started, and I aim to make it one of my biggest years yet.
Also want to mention @marzachan for coming on this intensive journey with me. I love you and doing life with you 🥰
