for anyone new to the silent disco concept, they’ll be rocking simultaneous dj sets on three seperate headphone channels from 7-10 PM!

Very sad day. Peaceful travels to Root Down fam the Remitch @the_remitch who just passed. Remitch, Jay, Bubba and crew always brought great positive energy to root down events. Would not have been the same without them. Thankfully, many of that crew are still with us, but again we’re very sad to see Remitch pass.
Peaceful travels to Afrika Bambaataa (born Lance Taylor in 1957). Bambaataa was one of hip hop’s foundational break beat djs, party organizers and producers.
He clearly was an extremely flawed human who caused real damage & pain with his sexual abuse of minors. That is not at all excusable and at the same time we cannot forget that the art form & best of hip hop culture would not have developed the same without his vision, energy & creativity.
Hopefully the abuse that was exposed will prevent future abuse of power from happening in the future.
We are grateful to have been able to host him for one epic night at our NYC Satelite party. Bam has passed but we are fortunate to have his music live on.
