Tonight is the last night to bid on Nightsky 5 and many other amazing works at @cascadeaidsproject art auction!! this piece created at @playasummerlake holds a special place in my heart because it was an all night full moon dance ritual that also happened to be my first ever attempt at photography with a DSLR camera. The result is an ephemeral documentation of one of my favorite nights ever. Part of my #PinkMoment series this piece is a bit sexier than the others with my exposed jock and repose. #TodayCollage Because it was one of those special Portland days that kept opening up in peculiar weirdness, but in a joyful way. Early up to stage a house and run errands. Ran into this total cutie at Home Depot who happened to be @thequeen_pluto (we clicked each other cause the purse fell out of my mouth and he’d tattoos were Gaaaay. Did some much needed gardening at home, prepping the blueberry beds and tucking them in with mulch. The weather turned from hot fake summer to raining poodles like a fever breaking. Then I started makeup 25 min before i had to be at @clinton_street_theater for #ThatsCamp! On my way I caught #rosaryhour and didn’t realize I was filming from a very special angle. Was impressed and in love with all the hard work and high production value that @rybred.drag and @dragtomboy put together for the show. I haven’t done a group drag show in … feels like years… so it was super cute to have a backstage moment with the shenanigans of @rainbowwhale @givenqdaviswrites @dria_dore @missmonachrome and the rest of the Felt a huge love for @propertyweirdos for sponsoring the event and also helping me close my first house!!! Then the witch rave (more on that later) Then goodbye party to The Blue House - the queer compound where at least 43 of you lived through the last 13 years. I was number 7 and it was truly the end of an era. Thanks @yaksha2 for the party but also for choosing my team to buy you a new place so you can say goodbye to the blue craftsman…

TLDR: I PASSED MY REAL ESTATE EXAM! So for the last few years I’ve had a smattering of marketing, advertising, project managing and arts admin jobs which have allowed me to continue to make art - or blessedly not make art and continue to live in Portland, tend my garden and exist as the gremlin many of you know and love. About a year ago I was working for a money magician and that ended in a unique and awkward way (that’s a different story). The very next day I reconnected with my friend @seandavidbug and the week after that I was an un-licensed real estate assistant working with a rad queer/trans group with @propertyweirdos . For the next few months I supported as an operations and marketing diva while sorting out what my next steps would be. My life as a touring artist had been curious and slowed down because American theater and arts are in crisis, and Mama bought a house and have been nesting in deep NE PDX. Along the way Sean Bug asked me what I thought about being an agent… a lightbulb went off and I realized this career encompassed so much of what I’m already doing AND would still allow me to continue making performance and visual art in this city I love. So, after some time of intense bouts of studying and deliberate concentration I signed up for the exam… and yesterday I passed! I’m really proud of myself for trying and testing on a new thing, and I’m excited to fulfill the theater kid- marketing - realtor pipeline of which I am now embracing. Get ready for some unhinged social media about houses, and my learning of a whole new career. More updates to be revealed soon! Thank you to everyone on my team at @propertyweirdos for the support and encouragement and thank you to my people who helped me get past my bouts of ADHD learning avoidance.
