Today we had a special little visitor here at The Mule 🐢
We weren’t quite sure how healthy this lil guy was, and at some point during the day he ended up trapped under our back porch, definitely not the ideal spot to hang out. One call to our friends at @appalachianwild quickly changed that! Three amazing volunteers came by to safely rescue him and bring him back to their facility where he’ll be checked out and given any care he may need ♥️
We truly can’t say enough good things about Appalachian Wildlife Refuge and the incredible work they do for the animals here in WNC. We’re so grateful to have people willing to step in, help wildlife, and save us from potentially getting a finger bitten off in the process 👍♥️

The space out back is honestly one of our favorite spots to sit back and enjoy a drink on a warm day like today. With a full astroturf area, bocce courts, picnic tables and umbrellas we got it all!
