Exciting news! In celebration of SHM’s 20th Anniversary, we are thrilled to unveil our new logo, designed by our talented friends @thematchboxstudio . This thoughtfully designed logo embodies the meticulous attention to detail that defines each of our projects. It beautifully honors the Past, Present, and Future of SHM Architects, Interiors, and Landscape.
For all the graphic design enthusiasts out there, you will appreciate the deeper meaning behind our new branding. We hope you love it as much as we do!…
“The logo was inspired by several architectural principles that SHM leans into. Light and shadow, the rule of thirds, and transitional spaces being the primary influences. The mark is sturdy, with strong verticals reminiscent of columns, while the curvilinear nature of the letterforms leads the eye through the logo from left to right – much like a carefully planned home would consider the transitions from room to room. The open forms of the letters not only represent those pathways, but also suggest shadow lines, a nod to the beautiful role that light plays in a well-designed home.”- Jeff Breazeale, Founding Partner, Matchbox Studio
