It’s our album release day today for “Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be” and we’re elated to finally let this one out into the world. It was January of 2024 when we recorded it and it’s been quite the journey since then, more love, more heartbreak, more seasons. It’s admittedly a strange time to drop a record and our hearts are very much with our communities in Minneapolis and beyond, proud of how neighbors are showing up to take care of their neighbors. And perhaps in this small offering to our community and the world there is some soothing embrace here through what music can offer.
Here are some photos from the recording session. It was a magical ten days for us conjuring and collaborating and creating with an incredible crew of friends and musicians. Grateful for the time together and hope it finds you where you need it.

Our first three shows in Europe were so heartwarming and special and we’re just about over our jet lag. We’re feeling extra grateful for the adventures these songs have taken us on and excited for the next couple of weeks in the UK! Headed to London next @hootanannybrixton Our new record “Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be” drops this week, January 22nd!
Who else can say they ran a marathon at the South Pole, much less hold the record!? No matter how much Kendl tries to downplay it, a records a record. #worldrecords #aintnobodydopeasme #podcastshorts

CHARLIE PARR
In the music of Charlie Parr, there is a sincere conviction and earnest drive to create. The Minnesota-born guitarist, songwriter, and interpreter of traditional music has released 19 albums over two decades and has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year. Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense: taking to the road between shows, writing and rewriting songs as he plays, fueled by a belief that music is eternal and cannot be claimed or adequately explained.
THE LOWEST PAIR
The Lowest Pair has questions. The duo, made up of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee, know that we tend to see duality as a problem. We want life to be linear, working through the dark to finally get to the light. Grief to joy, despair to hope, confusion to clarity––not a jangly cycle we can’t escape. But through their incandescent folk songs, the Lowest Pair often ask: What if we sit with the mess? What if that’s not just more peaceful, but more magical, too?
This show will sell out, so grab those tickets while you can!
