Funktion One sound thanks to @audiation.atx
Drawing from soulful melody and industrial grit in equal measure, UVB has spent over a decade forging a sound he calls “industrial funk,” a raw, groove-heavy vision of techno entirely his own. Marseille-born and Berlin-based, he is a regular on the Berghain lineup, where the iconic club stands as his most played venue worldwide. Founder of the Body Theory and SHIV labels, he has released multiple LPs and EPs since his 2014 debut on Mord Records, earning support from Surgeon, Marcel Dettmann, and Tommy Four Seven. From Berghain to Tresor, Concrete to Awakenings, UVB brings that vision to dancefloors around the world.
For my final installment with Nocturne, I wanted to capture that feeling of transcendence you find on the dance floor. Those moments at 5 a.m. when thought disappears and all that’s left is movement, sound, and energy shared with one another. Intertwining dragon like forms represent bodies becoming one collective force, connected through rhythm, instinct, and complete surrender and power to the dance floor. The feeling of becoming something beyond yourself that it transcends human form even if only for a few hours on a weekend night. - Luis Garcia

Artist Spotlight: Liquid Earth
The singular brand of house music that Taylor Freels produces as Liquid Earth blends the rhythmic sensibilities of London and Berlin with the sun-soaked groove of his native California. Melodic, crisp, and unmistakably his own, his productions rework vintage house textures into something built for modern dance floors.
Releases on labels like Kalahari Oyster Cult and TerraFirm, along with collaborations as Dinnervisions with Tornado Wallace, have placed Liquid Earth firmly in the orbit of today’s underground. His sets move fluidly through UK tech house, deep house, and West Coast breaks — always groovy, always locked in.
As a DJ he’s brought that sound to rooms and festivals like Dimensions, Panorama Bar, and beyond, while mixes for platforms like Honey Soundsystem and Faciendo continue to circulate through the global house circuit.

The artwork shown above is the second installement of Luis Garcia’s Recidency with nocturne, here’s a few words from Luis describing the piece.
For this second installment of my work for Nocturne, I wanted to continue my admiration and fascination with body movement and the visceral sensations felt on the dance floor. This entity carries a quietly dangerous sense of power and resilience, caught in a stagnation of something that is happening or about to happen. It exists in that split open window just before a detonation of energy, mirroring the moment of presence felt before euphoric release. There is a gently charged tension throughout its ghostly appearance, its human yet creature like form reflecting back onto who we become when the body leads and the mind follows.
